Please join IowACE for a webinar presented by Kelvin Beene of the Code Enforcement Consultants.  He was awarded the 2021 Robert Klein Award from the American Association of Code Enforcement. This award is given in appreciation to the dedication to promoting the education of Code Officers in the field of Code Enforcement.

Thursday, April 11 from 9AM - 12PM, he will be hosting a webinar where he will cover the following topics:

• Generational Code Enforcement (.15 CEU) – Understanding the Generations- This course identifies the various generational employees and citizens we encounter daily. It delves into the traits, similarities and differences of each generation. It gives us strategies to effectively utilize generational talent to maximize communication and overall effectiveness of the group.
• Emotional Intelligence in Enforcement (.15 CEU)- Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the ability to manage both your own emotions and understand the emotions of people around you. There are five key elements to EI: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. We will learn how to navigate our internal thoughts to better respond to crises during our work day. We will also, through self discovery, learn to think before we act so that we don't exacerbate issues related to officer safety.
