letter from lucas gonyier
Dear IowACE Members,
I want to share that I have resigned from my role as President of the Iowa Association of Code Enforcement, as I have accepted a new position out of state. While this was a difficult decision, I am truly grateful for the opportunity you all have given me to serve in this role. It has been one of the most rewarding professional experiences of my career.
I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together. Over the past few years, we worked hard to stabilize and strengthen the organization’s structure, and becoming an official International Code Council Chapter marked a major milestone. Membership has continued to grow, and our educational offerings remain highly valuable,
something that speaks to the dedication and professionalism of code officials across Iowa.
With my resignation, 1st Vice President Adam Coyle has stepped into the role of President, and I am confident he will lead IowACE successfully through the upcoming Annual Conference in November. Ahead of this year’s Conference, we will hold our Annual Business Meeting and Board Elections. Several Board positions will be open, and I encourage each of you to consider serving. My time on the Board has been meaningful and enjoyable, and I know many of you would find the same fulfillment in helping shape the future of this organization.
IowACE has a bright future. The foundation is strong, the mission is important, and the commitment from its members is exceptional. Thank you again for allowing me to serve; I am sincerely grateful for the trust, collaboration, and friendships formed along the way.
Warm regards,
Lucas Gonyier, MBA, CCEO
President | Iowa Association of Code Enforcement
