Lucas gonyier - president
Lucas currently works as an Inspector I for the City of Dubuque, IA and has been in the inspection/code enforcement field since February 2021. Lucas has gained the distinction of Certified Code Enforcement Officer along with being certified through the International Code Council as a Residential Building Inspector, Property Maintenance & Housing Inspector, and Zoning Inspector. He is also certified by the State of Iowa as a Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor and Lead Abatement Contractor. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Iowa State University and a Master of Business Administration Degree from The University of Dubuque. Adam Coyle - 1st Vice president
Adam has been employed by the City of West Des Moines in the Community Compliance department since 2016 and specializes in nuisance and zoning violations. He is certified through the International Code Council (ICC) as a Property Maintenance & Housing Inspector, a Zoning Inspector as well as holds the designation of Certified Code Enforcement Officer (CCEO). Adam has served on the IowACE Board of Directors as a 3rd VP, 2nd VP, 1st VP and President and has served on the American Association of Code Enforcement (AACE) awards committee.
Adam grew up in Nebraska, joined the Marines Corps out after high school and later served in the Army National Guard. Prior to code enforcement, he worked in retail management followed by several years of real estate sales and property management. Adam has also served in local government as an elected official. hollie burgus - 2nd vice president
Hollie obtained her B.S. in Community and Regional Planning from Iowa State University. She worked as a planner for Maricopa County in the Planning and Development Department. After deciding to come back home to Iowa, she got a job as a Development Zoning Inspector for the City of Des Moines where she worked for a couple of years. She is now the Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Winterset. She manages nuisance property abatements, updates city ordinances, and oversees the operations of the Board of Adjustment and the Planning and Zoning Commission. Hollie also provides guidance on zoning questions and conducts rental inspections to ensure safe and compliant housing. Through her work, she is committed to supporting community standards and promoting a safe, well-maintained Winterset.

TODD NATHEM - 3rd vice president
Todd is a Code Enforcement Officer with the City of Cedar Rapids. Todd is certified through ICC as a Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector, Zoning Inspector, Residential Plumbing Inspector, Certified Code Enforcement Officer, and Code Enforcement Administrator. Nicholas "nick" lindberg - secretary
Nick has worked as a Community Compliance Specialist for the City of West Des Moines since 2023 and specializes in nuisance and zoning violations. He has served four years as a City Councilman for the City of Casey, Iowa—a small town 45 minutes west of Des Moines—and has an additional six years of experience as mayor of the same. During and immediately after his senior year of high school, Nick spent 2 years working in the Iowa House of Representatives, the first in the Majority Leader’s office and the second as a confidential assistant for one of the representatives. In 2022, he became a graduate of the Iowa League of Cities’ Municipal Leadership Academy and was awarded the designation of Certified Elected Municipal Official (CEMO) by the same. michelle metzger - sergeant of arms
Michelle is a Code Enforcement Officer employed by the City of Urbandale since 2022, her specialty is zoning and nuisance violations. Michelle is certified through the International Code Council (ICC) as a Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector and a Zoning Inspector. She also holds certifications as a Certified Code Enforcement Officer, Certified Pool Operator, and Code Official Safety Specialist. Her work involves ensuring that properties, buildings, and structures in the local jurisdiction are safe, sanitary, and fit for occupation and use. As a Certified Pool Operator, she has been trained to keep pools safer and open by reducing risks in and around the water. As a Code Officer Safety Specialist, Michelle has expertise in identifying risks to herself and others. Michelle was previously employed by the City of Muscatine, in various roles for 19 years. Michelle grew up in Southeastern Iowa and relocated to the Metro area. Michelle has 2 adult children, Kelsey and Brandon. You can reach Michelle Metzger at [email protected].
Meredith Clark - treasurer
Meredith started as the Community Service Officer for the Knoxville Police Department in January of 2021. She handles all the city ordinance violations and help with zoning violations. She is also a certified Reserve Police Officer and the president of the Knoxville Police Reserve Unit. Meredith also assists the State Center Police Department with city ordinance violations and code adoptions. She assists the full time officers with nuisance complaints, connect residents with resources including food, shelter, long-term and emergency housing. She also manages the city’s Vacant Residential and Commercial Building program and assist with the Rental Housing Inspection Program.
