Jeanetta is trained through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) in Critical Incident Stress Management and plays an active role in supporting first responders and community members across Iowa following critical incidents and disasters.
She is a frequent presenter to law enforcement departments, corporate security teams, and business leaders on conflict management, de-escalation, resolution strategies, and overall brain health and wellness.
Jeanetta’s work centers on helping professionals in high-stress roles care for their own well-being while equipping them with practical tools to manage conflict, reduce stress, and navigate the emotional demands of their work.
Code enforcement professionals face unique challenges, from navigating complex regulations to managing high-stress interactions with the public. This two-hour virtual training is designed to provide practical tools for maintaining mental health and supporting community well-being. In the first part of the session, participants will learn how to recognize signs of mental health concerns in others, including residents, property owners, and colleagues, as well as effective ways to respond and connect individuals with appropriate resources. The second part of the training focuses on self-care and resilience, offering strategies to manage stress, prevent burnout, and maintain emotional well-being while working in a demanding code enforcement role.
